1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Runbook website and your purchase of any digital products or services offered by Runbook ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

Runbook is a digital product brand providing AI implementation resources for UK professional services firms. We are not a law firm, accountancy practice, or regulated professional services provider.

2. Our Products

Runbook sells digital products including, but not limited to:

  • AI prompt packs and libraries
  • AI implementation checklists and frameworks
  • AI transformation playbooks and templates
  • Team licences and bundled product packages
  • Productised AI readiness audit reports

All products are delivered digitally. No physical goods are shipped. Delivery is made via download link or email following successful payment, processed through our payment provider Payhip.

3. Copyright and Intellectual Property

3.1 Ownership

All digital products sold by Runbook, including their content, structure, layout, text, templates, frameworks, and associated materials, are the exclusive intellectual property of Runbook and are protected by United Kingdom copyright law and applicable international copyright treaties.

Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal licence to use the product. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the product or its contents.

3.2 Permitted Use

Subject to the licence type purchased, you may:

  • Access and use the product for your own internal business purposes
  • Apply frameworks, workflows, and templates within your own firm
  • Share the product with colleagues within your firm

3.3 Restrictions — What You May Not Do

By completing a purchase, you expressly agree that you will not, under any circumstances:

  • Resell, sublicence, or otherwise commercially exploit any Runbook product or any portion of it
  • Share, distribute, transmit, forward, or otherwise make any product available to any individual, business, or organisation outside of your firm
  • Upload or make any product available on any file-sharing platform, cloud storage service, website, intranet, or other repository accessible by third parties outside your firm
  • Reproduce, copy, or extract substantial portions of any product for publication or redistribution in any medium
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, branding, or proprietary markings within any product
  • Use any product as the basis for a competing product or service

These restrictions apply regardless of whether any such act is for commercial gain or otherwise.

3.4 Team Licences

Where applicable, team licences permit use by up to the number of named users specified at the time of purchase, all of whom must be employed by or contracted to the same firm. Team licence holders may not expand usage beyond the agreed number of users without purchasing an additional licence.

3.5 Breach of Licence

Any unauthorised reproduction, sharing, or distribution of Runbook products constitutes copyright infringement and a material breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including injunctive relief and claims for damages.

4. Not Professional or Compliance Advice

Runbook products are educational and operational implementation resources only. Nothing in any Runbook product constitutes legal, regulatory, financial, tax, data protection, or other professional advice.

Where our products discuss data protection or regulatory considerations, they are intended to highlight questions you should raise with your own qualified professional advisers. Runbook makes no representations regarding the compliance of any specific tool, workflow, or approach for your firm's particular circumstances.

You remain solely responsible for ensuring that your firm's AI adoption is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. Beyond this, we are generally unable to offer refunds.

We will consider refund requests beyond the 14-day guarantee on a case-by-case basis where:

  • A product is materially defective or does not match its description
  • A technical failure prevented delivery and cannot be resolved

To request a refund, please contact us at hello@therunbook.co.uk within 14 days of purchase, with your order reference and a description of the issue. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

6. Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the site. You must not use our website to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising material, or engage in any conduct that could damage, disable, or impair the website.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Runbook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of our products or website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you in connection with any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or products following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
